ACCORDING TO ZODIAC SIGNS, THESE ARE THE COMMON PROBLEMS YOU MAY FACE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP

October 10, 2017 0

If you’re in a relationship and facing a lot of problems, know that it is okay and perfectly normal. But, we’re all humans, aren’t we? It is okay to have problems and remember, no one is born perfect anyway. Being in a relationship also requires a lot of patience. However, if things are dealt in a positive manner and you and your partner are looking forward to making your relationship work, things can definitely be sorted out.
A lot of astrologers believe that the conflicts that may arise in your relationship could be because of your zodiac signs. Although studying about it doesn’t necessarily prove that this will solve your relationship problems, but yes, one can avoid such circumstances in the future.
Have a look at some of the most common problems every zodiac struggles in a relationship:

Aries

Overthinking is what triggers every problem. At times, you’re in denial of things that are happening, yet you try to make things go your way. Don’t forget that you’re both equally involved in the relationship!

Taurus

You hate compromising. Your judgemental nature always gets in the way of your relationship and people seem to get fed up with you easily. You love taking revenge which often gets you in trouble.

Gemini

You have a habit of fighting over matters that make no sense at all. You refuse to accept change and the people who tend to change over a certain period of time. At times, acceptance is everything.

Cancer

Possessing a dominant nature is what gets you in trouble. It’s cute that you truly love your partner. Who doesn’t? But that does not give you any right to dictate them at all. Khabardaar!

Leo

You’re insecure about your relationship and expect A LOT from it. You’re demanding in nature and expect a little too much from your partner. Right? This may lead to serious problems in the future. You know how they say, high expectations hurt?

Virgo

Giving some space to your partner in a relationship is important. Everyone deserves a personal space. We know the bonding that builds over a period of time with your partner is something you wouldn’t want to let go of, but wanting to stick to your partner at ALL times can prove to be unhealthy.

Libra

Indecisiveness is in your blood. You always look at things in a positive way but this is where the problem begins. You choose to ignore and fail to notice all the wrong things in your partner that can prove to be harmful to you and your relationship.

Scorpio

For you, it’s fun and games in the beginning but after some time, you get bored and lose the passion. You’re less expressive and often hide your feelings from your partner and keep grudges against them. This is an issue you need to look into if you want to save your relationship. Now is the time!

Sagittarius

You tend to get hurt easily and choose to walk away from your partner. You’re possessive about your relationship and take every minute detail, seriously. From the way your partner dresses to maintaining themselves, you will be saddened if you know they’re not making any efforts in doing so.

Capricorn

All you care about is your partner. At times, you forget about yourself and you’re busy pleasing everyone else, but yourself. This can be a dangerous thing to do in a relationship. You also tend to agree with everything your partner says, even if your relationship isn’t working out.

Aquarius

You doubt their love for you. You find it hard to explain things to your partner, yet you think you’re good at it. That is a bummer and you need to be serious about it. Understanding each other plays a vital role in a relationship to strengthen the bond.

Pisces

You play hard to get and stay very reserved. You may not be able to express your feelings as your partner wants you to, but this usually triggers a little argument and this could be one of the reasons why your partner may despise you for.
No matter what your problems are, no matter how strong or weak your bond is, it is always to keep the conversation going on. Discuss your matters and problems so the bond becomes stronger. Remember, communication is key. Happy bonding!

Anushka Sharma launches her own clothing line

October 04, 2017 0
Titled 'Nush', the label is meant to be reflection of the Harry Met Sejal star's own sense of style

Actor turned producer and now a fashion designer, Anushka Sharma is all about going after your passions.
The 29-year-old artist launched her new entrepreneurial venture, clothing line 'Nush', on Tuesday, Indian media reported, an idea that had been churning in her mind for some four to five years.
"I had been planning for the past one and a half years, and quite honestly as I stand here in front of everyone, I am excited but at the same time, I am extremely nervous," the actress said at the launch ceremony of "Nush".
"Because when you put yourself out there like that, it can be a little daunting but I am really happy that I am doing it," she added.
When asked if it's a rat-race of sorts among Bollywood celebs, like Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor, having their own clothing lines, Anushka said she didn't think so.
"I think the more the merrier. It is a great thing that you have fashion available to you, like this," she said. "More brands, more designs, more styles, more choice and if I can enable and add value to that, I think that is a great thing."
"I don't see it in negative at all; this reflects my aesthetics, my sense of style," Anushka said.
About challenges of turning designer for a fashion brand, she said, "Challenges, you face in everything you do, but for me, this is something that helps me focus."

Good relationships can boost your career

September 28, 2017 0
Sharing a good relationship with friends and family can boost confidence and keep you motivated to achieve greater personal goals, suggests new research. The findings support the ‘I-through-We’ perspective. This means the social tendency to connect with others and the individual tendency to strive and grow as individuals, are not mutually exclusive and may augment and magnify each other. For the study, researchers used data from samples from the US and Japan to determine if personal growth is an outcome of an individual’s traits or the positive relationships they have with others. “The more supportive people judged their relationships to be, the higher their personal growth tendencies,” said the study’s lead author David Lee, a postdoctoral fellow at Ohio State University in the US. “In other words, relationships do not necessarily conflict with but help sustain one’s personal growth,” Oscar Ybarra, Professor at the University of Michigan, said in a statement released by the university. In one experiment, about 200 participants were randomly assigned to one of three relationship conditions: supportive, non-supportive and neutral. In the two main conditions, some had to consider a person in their life with whom they felt comfortable (or not) and did not worry (did worry) about being abandoned by them. The neutral group had to consider an acquaintance for whom they did not have strong feelings. Ask Asad: I am in an illicit relationship with my uncle’s wife – how do I end it? Participants read a hypothetical scenario in which they had to choose between a higher paying job with high familiarity (Company A) or a lower paying job that required learning that would help their long-term career development (Company B). Among those in the supportive relationship condition, 65 per cent selected Company B, whereas 40 per cent of those in the non-supportive condition chose the same company. Fifty per cent of the neutral group picked Company B. Participants who thought about a supportive person were more willing to choose a job that promoted personal growth, even at lower pay, in part because they had more self-confidence, the study indicated. 8 common behaviours that can sabotage your relationship In another experiment involving 3,800 participants, the researchers found that people who reported their relationships to be supportive had a greater willingness to grow personally and felt more self-confident. The results were similar in the data from the Survey of Midlife Development in Japan, which sampled about 1,000 people. The findings thus address both the importance of distinguishing yourself from others by fulfilling personal goals, but also being a good group member by fulfilling social obligations and cultivating supportive relationships.

This artist hub in Karachi aims to be a safe haven for freethinkers

September 27, 2017 0
To have a parent support the artistic endeavours of their children is nothing short of a blessing in a conformist society like Pakistan's ─ one in which a large majority actively discourages critical thinking, clips freedom of thought and moderates choices in its pursuit of convention. And that is what the creators of The Grid Club ─ a newly opened community centre ─ aim to counter.
Known as The Grid, the community centre is located in a bustling, hip and happening part of Defence, an area of the Karachi associated with wealth and a liberal demographic ─ pul ke uss par (on the other side of the bridge) as they say. It has a library, an art gallery and a performance venue, where artists, writers, musicians and all liberal arts enthusiasts can band together to create, perform and share. 'The Grid is a madrassah for the left' "The right has opened so many madrassahs all over the city and they're thriving," Syed Aftab Shah, the man behind The Grid told Images, saying that in Pakistan, creativity and artistic expressions ─ be it in the form of painting, poetry, music ─ are socially regulated, structurally censored and most of the times, systematically killed.
"I saw the need for a safe space where dissent would be welcomed and where people could express themselves without fear of backlash," Shah said. "We at The Grid want it to become a madrassah for the left, a safe haven for those who are religiously in touch with their creative side." The founders ─ Shah and his childhood buddy Abid Baloch ─ are both millennials in their late 20s, working as professionals in the field of mental health and real estate, respectively. For them, The Grid is a place to help artists hone their talents, learn new skills and coach them in establishing passions as a career. 'A career in the arts is not impractical' "One of the biggest reasons young men and women abandon art as a career option is because they are told they cannot make money from it or sustain themselves and their families," Shah said. 'We need to look after our musicians, our artists, our youth' Shah has set up an internship programme at The Grid where he works with high school and university students to help them in their creative pursuits, polish their talents, develop soft skills and become healthy, productive adults.
'The Grid is an on-going experiment' No interior designer was hired to decorate The Grid, Shah tells Images. "There is a lot going on on the walls; the art and decoration you see is a self-reflection of all the people who helped us with the creative process." If The Grid is able to thrive via crowdfunding, its founders plan to replicate the model in other areas of Karachi or even Pakistan. "It is an experiment ─ if successful, The Grid will open in other areas with its model tweaked as per the needs in that community," Shah said. However, its essence ─ a safe space for artistic expression ─ will remain, he added. The Grid is located at Bukhari Commercial in Phase VI, DHA. It is open seven days a week from 12pm till midnight.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's attire at the UN meetings states a lot

September 26, 2017 0

LAHORE:
Since ancient times rulers have used clothing and style to communicate their wealth, power and authority – from the red-heeled shoes worn by Louis XIV to Jinnah’s favoured caps to Chairman Mao’s simple worker’s uniform.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi attended the United Nation General Assembly session in New York on Tuesday where he had meetings with different head of the states and political figures but he was seen wearing a suit and white collar shirt without a necktie that would traditionally not complete the outfit.
It appeared a bit undignified for a statesman of his position and raised a few eyebrows. Agreed, politics is no place for avant-garde fashionistas, though it is still possible to dress well and follow international dress codes when representing one’s country in a gathering of world leaders.
Political leaders all over the world have made impact with their attire, whether it was former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak who had his name woven into the pinstripes of his immaculate suits or Hamid Karzai’s flowing cape and hat combo which has remained unchanged for a decade now but when American fashion designer Tom Ford describes him as “the chicest man on the planet”, it is probably wise to keep wearing the same outfit but for someone like PM Abbasi, it will be advised to follow the international dress code when addressing the General Assembly session amongst the top leaders of the world.

Munib Nawaz, who is known for customising men’s suits for many celebrities and political figures spoke to The Express Tribune and said, “What our prime minister has given an impression is that I am a rock star, I am above all and no rules apply on me.
I am not sure if that is giving a positive or negative impression to the rest of the world. Dress code on such a huge platform like the United Nations represents your personality, your culture, even your beliefs. Rule of thumb is that any political leader cannot represent his delegation or a country with an open collar shirt.
You have to either wear a shirt with a necktie or a waist coast or at least a scarf but you cannot keep your shirt collar wide open when in a gathering of world leaders. If millions of tax payer money can be used to take this trip to the United Nations, a five thousand rupee tie could have been purchased too”.
Rizwan Beyg, Karachi-based fashion designer also told The Express Tribune, “Yes I agree, It is not befitting for a head of state to be dressed so informally .Our own sherwani is just as elegant and formal had he opted against wearing just a simple jacket over a shirt”.
Japan’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe emerged from a warp pipe at the Rio Olympics dressed as Mario but the stunt was part of the closing ceremonies where the host nation, Japan, for the next Olympics 2020 was introduced. Abe wore a red Mario cap and was briefly clothed in Mario’s overalls but he had a suit on underneath.
For centuries, and all around the globe, strict laws have governed what people wear. From caliphates to communist republics and even in the democratic west, a moral war is waged on world leaders’ wardrobes.
Given the harshness of the spotlight into which Mr Abbasi has just shuffled, it might be reasonable to suggest he could have been forgiven for minor sartorial oversight but generally, one is not taken seriously without a tie.
When Marilyn Monroe quipped that all it took to conquer the world was the right pair of shoes, she perhaps knew more than she was letting on. Shoes, suits, ties all play some role in the lives of people who have conquered – if not the world, then at least parts of it.
